At Hands on Fitness, we offer small group fitness classes, semi-private, and private training, right next door to our clinic in Huntington Beach. In this setting, every client receives attention and sessions are designed to meet the needs of each person or group. We offer a variety of classes to satisfy a wide range of interests. Our programs are open to both patients at our physical therapy clinic as well as the community.

With our classes done in a physical therapy environment, we ensure safety and functional movement in our program. We provide patients transitioning out of physical therapy to physical activity an affordable program to maintain the progress they have made to prevent re-injury.  We have a collaborative team of fitness instructors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and acupuncturists to promote overall wellness for every client.

Additional Information:

Private and Semi-Private Training: Individualized attention is a major advantage in private and semi-private training. The instructor will work with you to determine your goals and build an exercise regime tailored to your specific needs. With our experienced instructors, you will accomplish your fitness goals faster and feel the benefits of an active lifestyle. 

Small Group Classes: In recent years large group classes have become the norm, however, in this setting not everyone will be seen. In our small group classes, everyone will get assistance and guidance from the instructor. Our experienced instructors will offer many variations and modifications so that each person can achieve their best workout.

Introductory Session: New clients who have not been transferred from Hands On Rehab physical therapy have an option to attend a 45-minute in-person assessment/introductory private lesson. It is highly recommended to attend a private lesson before entering any group classes so that instructors can assess your needs and goals.

Policies: 

  • All classes are prepaid and pre-booked through our online portal. Clients must cancel their sessions 24 hours before their class in order to not be charged. Any no show or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance are subject to paying the full class fee.

Fitness Classes

Pilates: The Pilates method, developed by Joseph Pilates, is a method of exercise that focuses on control, centering, concentration, breathing, fluid movement, and precision. The Pilates method helps to strengthen the core, stretch muscles, and stimulate the mind-body-soul connection.

Yoga: Flow through class at a moderate pace while focusing on alignment in each pose. Breathwork and meditation will be included to incorporate mindfulness into your practice.

Balance: Challenge your motor skills and increase your strength with this class specifically designed to improve your balance and posture. 

Strength: Get a full body workout to become stronger inside and out. Weight training, resistance bands, and bodyweight workouts will be utilized to promote muscle building and injury prevention.

Conditioning: Using a combination of HIIT, strength, and core movements, you will achieve a full body workout to get stronger and improve overall fitness.

Stretch: Loosen those tight muscles, work on joint mobilization, and increase range of motion in this relaxing class.

Fit Teens/Fit Kids: This class is a fun way for kids to get their bodies moving in a non-competitive and inclusive environment! Fit Kids focuses on coordination, body weight exercises, and overall body mechanics. Our Teen class focuses on good form and body control while exploring a variety of workout styles.
